Two culinary friends have recently started their own blogs, detailing their work in Charlottesville and Roanoke.
Feast or Famine, Jeremiah's blog, is a good read, and he has spent a fair amount of time working at McCrady's, including the Ideas in Food dinner. He's been doing some really cool stuff with all the great ingredients out of the Charlottesville area.
Big Water is brand new, but chock full of posts about the goings on at Josh's new place of employment, the Local Roots Cafe in Roanoke. He's only been there for a few weeks but has been doing some really cool stuff in a very small kitchen. Look for us to do a dinner with him in the spring.
Hello - This is Rives, owner of Local Roots Cafe. I see you are a friend of Josh. Has he shown you our liquid nitrogen tank? If not, by all means, come check it out immediately. Based on your blog, you will definitely enjoy what it can do immensely. Locally yours, Rives
